International Scientific and Practical Conference “My Motherland, Russia: Views of Russia from Abroad and Responses to Them”

On February 6, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “My Motherland, Russia: Views of Russia from Abroad and Responses to Them” will take place at the Russian Abroad House in Moscow.

Scientists and public figures from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, and Ethiopia will share their views on the philosophical and historical aspects of how Russia’s image is shaped abroad, the factors influencing it, and attitudes toward the concept of “compatriot,” both in terms of values and in practical terms.

The work will be conducted in two sections:

✅ “Historical and philosophical understanding of Russia’s image abroad and responses to it.”

✅ “Theory and practice of shaping and updating Russia’s image among compatriots abroad and residents of foreign countries.”

The organizers have set aside time for discussion and debate so that scientists from different countries can better understand one another and continue working together on this and other research projects.

The conference will be streamed online on the platforms of ANO “Path Home.”
